Maple Syrup is a 100% pure and natural food that is processed by heating Maple sap without added ingredients, a superior quality Ecological process Preserving essential nutrients! It takes 30-40 gallons of average Maple sap to boil (now to evaporate with evaporators) down to one gallon of Syrup. It is primarily a simple form of sugar (or 95% sucrose), but with the lowest caloric value of any of the natural sweeteners at 40 calories per tablespoon. This is much lower than honey, which is 64 calories/tablespoon, or corn syrup at 60 calories/tablespoon.

Maple Syrup is loaded with minerals including potassium, calcium and magnesium. Maple syrup and maple sugar are naturally fat free. Maple syrup can also be used to replace sugar in your favourite recipes, reducing the amount of sugar called for by one quarter. For example, substitute 3 tablespoons of pure maple syrup for every 4 tablespoons of sugar.
